4" Exhaust!?

Hey guys...i have had this idea in my head ever since i read that for a turbocharged car...the best backpressure is ZERO backpressure...although that is not possible for a street car..
right now i am sporting a 3" Catless TBE as well as a Toda Manifold, Invidia O2 housing...

my other power making mods include:
-GSC s1 cams
-750cc Injectors
-Greddy Vspec IC + upper and lower piping
-works intake (will be replaced with an ARC induction box soon)
-Greddy Boost controler
and what not...i have all the bolt ons i could think of plus valvesprings and retainers/head studs/walbro...etc.

on its way to me is a 20gLT .. i will be boosting about 25~26 psi.....
so after this very long boring intriduction the question is
do you guys think i should run a 4" exhaust or atleast a 4" catback....anyone ever tried it...?? do you think its an over kill for the FP green? do you think i will gain a better top end? "+'s" and "-'s"

inputs are appreciated
thanks

I'm pretty sure buschur is running 600whp+ on his 3 inch exhaust, I don't think its necessary.

Don't waste the extra money, I highly doubt there would be any advantages with your setup..

No need.

Besides, it wouldn't be fun or easy to shove a 4 inch pipe under this car without any clearance issues.

2.5 inch can support 600 hp, and 3 inch is good for even more. Don't waste your time or money.

I Just wanted to say ive stumbled on to your treads a few times and you are offically my hero. You do all the mods im thinking about 3 months before i do them (im not the best at saving money) so i always look at your car to get a ball park idea of what my 9 will do with the same mods.

Back to the point of this thread. I have always thought about putting an Electric Exhaust cut out that ran a pipe out the front bumper. Maybe that would be a good option for you because then you could drive around with out too much noise and when its time for business you could flip a switch and have a extreamly free flowing exhaust

Not enough to really deal with the fitment problems at the power you will be making.
