Repercussions of big cams and stock IX turbo?

I'd like to know if performance gains and reliability will be adversely affected if I match GSC S2's with my stock IX turbo. This will only be temporary (6 mos max). Once I do the turbo upgrade (30R+), I know the gains will be there. My valvetrain will be upgraded along with the cams.

If you're *certain* that you will upgrade in 6 months, I wouldn't worry about it. Just keep the tune conservative and I'm sure it would be fine. You can always ask GSC to make sure and if not, just wait the 6 months and do everything at once.

Do it and post the before/after dyno results! I'm sure they'll make good power and it'd be fine!

The S2's aren't too bad on the stocker, however when you get a bigger turbo, the cam selection plays a big part in when it spools. With identical turbo setups, cam selection can spool up a turbo 500 rpm sooner. However, the cam that spooled up the turbo later made up to 30 more whp and held the rpm a lot longer.
