Question Fuel pump holding me back?

I had a tune done to my evo 8 mr. I was a little dissapointed. My car was rated around 255hp and about the same # of torque. I have a TBE with a HF cat , k&n open air filter And a Vishnu tune. I haven't upgraded my fuel pump. Could that be holding my car back? Thanks guys

not sure, but all the pump does is making sure you have enought fuel? it would help to get a mbc with it too, to raise the psi. that will help out maybe 10~15hp

The fuel pump should be the least of your concerns if you're only making 255awhp...

it was a mustang dyno....The vishnu flash raised my boost to a lil over 1.5 bar around 20-21psi.

Get a MBC so that your boost will hold better at top end.

It looks okay to me? What do stock 05s dyno at on the dyno that you used on 91 octane? I dynoed at ~245hp, 260tq on a dynojet stock. A TBE, high flow cat, and K&N should give you about 50whp on a dynojet... I'd say that if 05s dyno around 220whp on a Mustang dyno, you're right about where you should be.

And don't bother with a MBC. I much prefer, as do many other that know how, using the ecu to control boost. MBC is just for those that are too lazy to learn how to use the ecu to control boost, which gives you more control over your boost curve.

Oh yeah, your A/F looks fine, so a fuel pump isn't really needed. From what I've read, you don't really need a fuel pump until you start messing around with the cams.

yes they do and stock 05 reading around 220awhp is common. I based line with 250 whp with MBC set at 18psi before my tune. I had BR intake, fuel bump, MBC, TBE, AMS IC.

So get a MBC, they're cheap and like they said before. Once you reach red line it will not taper that low like it shows on your graph. A fuel pump from what I remember are a must for evo 8's, especially if the boost is raised on your Vinshu tune. But it won't give you really significant horsepower.

from the looks of my boost gauge ...my boost seems to be holding fine all the way to redline.
