50 trim Spark Plugs???
MODs:
Shearer bb 50 trim turbo kit
Hks rs intake
Shearer Licp and 3 inch dp
HKS 280
Walbro FP
Apexi avcr Boosting 23-24 psi on 92 pump
I just swapped my NGK Bpr7es (gapped at 25) for Bpr8es. (gapped at 28)
At idle the Bpr7es had a slight stumble about every 5-6 seconds. But the idle stayed at a consisten 1000 rpm.
The Bpr8es has a stumble but is produced more frequently. The idle sounds more broken up. The idle stays above 1000 like about 1100 and the idle sometimes raises a little. Should i gap them less? or switch back to the 7s?
Ive been searching about spark plugs for a while i decided to take it a step colder because of the 23-24 psi im plannig to run dayily. But i remeber reading something that Warr said about using 8s only if you have alky and run 24 psi and up.
I cant seem to get a solid lobe.
Anyone with a 50 trim wants to share their plugs and gap?
or if you have any opinions please share.

It can be tough to daily drive on 8s. You can certainly do it (I do), but expect the potential fouling or at least misfiring, especially on cold idle. If you want to get a cleaner running plug for daily use but still get some increase in knock protection for high boost/pump gas use, run a non-projected 7 (BR7ES). I would run these all the time on the street, but BR8ES is a stock plug from some sled, so autoparts stores carry them. I used to just run them on nitrous only, back when I wasn't too lazy to order BR7ESs by the case from Summit.
Edit> I also find that the 8s last much longer on the DSM ignition conversion than they did on the stock EVO coils.
