About the cracked manifold I know about two, the first was Chris's 42R Black Fl car and then the one in the sport compact last month. Still two out of 900 is not bad at all.

Those were 42R Cars and since then we have made a very elaborate and effective Turbo Support bracket. Neither car was running them.

Hanging a 35R off a header on a street car and a 42R off a header on a 800 whp 4 cyl are two different things.

I am speaking on behalf of our 50 trim, 30R, 35R and 37R kits. that 300 number does not include 42R Kits. they are a totally different animal. I think we have sold only about 30 of those.

300 kits sold at ~ $4500 = $1.35 mil
30 kits sold at ~ $7700 = $231,000

just to put some perspective on things.

I would agree that you get basically the same components in either kit but the AMS stuff has a nicer fit and finish to it.

Just make sure you understand how the downpipes are flanged, the AMS 35r kit I saw installed last week had a three bolt flange at the cat / testpipe end that would only bolt up to an AMS exhaust. Little things like that can really screw up your build time.

Not saying there is anything wrong with either setup. Just talk to the company you decide to go with and make sure you know what will work with other parts and what won't.

We chose to integrate a custom downpipe so that a lesser stock turbo style downpipe could not be used. Some stock turbo downpipes are ok and have a decent diameter but there are many that neck down and do not incorporate a flex section or Facory Donut.

By incorporating a custom downpipe that bolts to our catback we were pushing people into running a true and full 3" exhuast to release the full potentional of the kit and maintain the quality of the kit.

A Turbo kit like many areas of the car is only as strong as its weakest link.

We all know full-race is the best though..

For some people on this forum they have real issues with that fact.

Yeah,
I was not bashing, just saying you have to ask the questions up front so you don't run into delays latter on.

I have seen AMS and Busher kits side by side and the AMS looks better from a fit and finish perspective.

Nothing against busher either, just my opinion. I'm sure both perform on par with one another.
