stock mbc
Ok heres the problem im having. i bought a slow boy 30r kit and their staff says that the stock ebc plugs into the turbo and wastegate like normal BUT alot of people told me to just get a new mbc. i have no problem doing that its just that im using the easy ecu from ecutek and i control my boost through there. the guy that tuned my car told me not to get a mbc cause then its like i can control my boos with two mbcs. so the staff at slow boy says that i can still use the stock ebc.

What is "Easy Ecu"? Is that a piggyback, or are you just talking about an EcuTek flash. You don't want to regulate boost on a big turbo with the stock ECU and stock BCS. If you don't want to use an MBC, then use an EBC, but you at least need some sort of boost controller.
The stock BCS is not a real EBC. It's just a basic solenoid built just to maintain stock boost.

the ecutek easyecu is like the ecuflash except with the ecuflash program you tune the car yourself you know like set the rev limiter, timing, ect, ect. with the easy ecu everything is already saved to the software all you do is click a button and your done thats why they call it the easy ecu. there really popular for sti they just started coming out with it for the evo
You shouldn't be using that for the Evo. That makes no sense when EcuFlash is free, and you can get custom tuned for very little. You do NOT want to use a pre-programmed EcuTek flash for your car with a big turbo. Why did you get that? I can't imagine why you would do that - it's a big waste of money. You can get base flashes just like that for $50 using EcuFlash - I just don't get it.
i know but its just easier. ok one of my friends has a rnr 30r he was fine with the ecutek and then someone told him the same thing your telling me thats its not good for a big turbo. so he downloaded ecuflash and messed with all the data that you can mess with and ****ed the car up. now the car sputters at high rpms and it never used to do that with the ecutek. i see ecuflash as a program for people that know alot about tuning their car. i know my **** on the evo but i dont feel like messing with **** im not familiar with. thats why i had a professional do it for me. i also know a guy with the rnr 50trim and hes never had any issues with the ecutek software.
Well, that's why you pay a real tuner to do it for you - don't mess with it yourself if you don't know what you're doing. You can get tuned for just a few hundred...
No, EcuFlash is for everyone - people who tune themselves and people who pay others to tune them. With EcuTek, you're paying twice as much as you'd pay for a custom flash. Using EcuFlash doesn't mean you have to do it yourself. However, it allows you to have multiple tunes custom made by a tuner for cheap, and then you can swap back and forth at the track (race gas) and on the street (pump gas).
If a professional "did" it for you with EcuTek, then what's the difference with having a professional "do" it for you more cheaply with EcuFlash? They are both flashing softwares...they work the same, but one costs a lot more and doesn't allow you to play with it yourself.

No, it doesn't. You can't go in and change anything whatsoever. You have to rely on a tuner who has purchased EcuTek to do everything for you, and you have to get this other device to load the tunes. With EcuFlash, the software is free, you can do whatever you want when you want, and you don't buy anything except a $90 cable.
It is more powerful than people realize.
