Hey guys I love the way the car feels... totally different car after that day.. Chad thanks for the awesome work. You guys rock... CBRD is the place where your car gets really taken care of the right way by the right people... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..
I did not expect that much high end power. And also I think the ported goods from PPI made a difference too... If somebody wants to get a port job with awesome coating PPI is the place and Wayne is the man.....

How much of that do you attribute to a much leaner tune and 1.5psi more boost? I would think 1.5psi and a much leaner (not lean, just leanER) would be 15-20whp as mcwop was insinuating.

Edit: Interestingly, looking at all the parameters, even though the 2nd tune is leaner with more boost, the largest difference in power is at the top where the difference in boost is at its lowest, and the AFRs have converged. Looks like that's where the cams shine the most...

Warrtalon,

good observation... lots of this "data" isnt as obvious either at first look......

the car was tuned before the ported parts were put on...

it was then brought to us... we baselined it... and installed the cams... it immediately made more power after the cams... but we were able to make better power fine tuning it obviously...

the car was completely knock free... i think we saw 1-2 1 counts of knock... but on the last 4-5 pulls it was clean....

the car actually gained a little boost from changing the cams... we didnt touch the boost controller until our client asked us too!!

again... im really impressed with the GSC's....

cheers...

Nice power gains shown by the S1 cams in combination with some good tuning provided by CBRD!!!

Chad, you need to do that Cossie vs. GSC cam test, many forum members will benefit from such test, given the fact that it hasn't been done back to back on the same car!!!

If anyone is looking for the S1 cams, we currently have 2 in stock. We do offer cam, install, and ivey flash tune packages for those who are interested.

Now do you think it would be worth running S2s on stock turbo or would it make power past the point of efficiency?

i direct the questions about the cams directly to greg at GSC...

I think the S1's make power where they should on stock turbo.... unless you do valvetrain work and plan on going bigger later, id stick with the S1's
