Downpipe cooking oil?

In incidental post readings i've noticed people occasionally listing their oil temps and they seem noticeably lower than mine.

At normal cruising in warm Baltimore summer weather (85F+) my temps are in the 200-215F range. My DC Sport 2-1 is a tad on the snug side.

Too high for normal cruising? Time to wrap the DP?

It could also be attributed to the accuracy of the actual gauge and where you are getting the oil temp readings from. If you get readings after the oil cooler, they are obviously going to be a lot lower.

I have Defi BFs tapped into my old MR sensor in the pan/drain bolt. I wish I remembered what my old temps were before I switched over, but unfortunately I don't. I double checked my cooler and it's clear of debris/blockage. Doesn't seem outrageously high but definitely not where I think I should be for everyday cruising.
