Trouble shifting @ high rpms

Hello,

During daily driving or cruising on the hwy everything is fine. Upshifts and downshifts are smooth and easy.

Although when driving it hard and going close to redline 8.5K on 2.3 its hard to go into 4th and 5th. Sometimes i can even go in. I have never really banged through gears so i just end up hiting a wall.

Sometimes i have to let off before it goes in or i try to blip the throttle a little bit and then it goes in.

Has this happened to anyone before?

I am planning on changing my motor mounts and adding a tourqe dampener, im guessing the engine moves too much.

Thanks for any help.

you got your car back on the road?i just installed a tilton twin on my brother in laws car this week,i notice its a little harder to get in to gears on high rpms but i think it just need a peddle adjustment.its not as bad as you say your is though it goes in just a bit notchy.this is only shifting fast though.

I drove the exedy clutch on shreks car a couple times and it felt different. Like alot softer.

I figured it was because of the hydraulic release bearing that caused the pedal to be so springy, more like an off and on switch compared to other clutches.

It grabs a hell of a lot harder when going through the gears. Even when just cruising. So i started driving it different when going through the gears.

Not to mention the noise that it makes when starting into first gear. The chatter isnt so bad tho.

I cant be heard at drive throughs when i drive the EVO i am always told to drive up to the first window and my order will be taken there. hahaha. squeeeee squoooooo aghhhhhhh then theres the exhaust.

But i had the tilton with a stock motor and a reflash and i didnt have that problem. So i was hoping maybe i just have too much engine movement or something that i can fix while its down.
I hope to have it fixed by my b-day in August. Then go look for all the big boys in Mia.

Yea a couple times. At first it was way to low, then we adjusted it a couple times to get it right and bled it like twice.

he adjusted twice and bled twice. I'd say check your throw out bearing to see if its disengaging properly. And maybe check clutch fluid levels?

yes..i researched about this all over the place..i am experiencing exactling the same things you described except with a different clutch...
the best solution for this now is a stiffer engine mount and torque dampner...

however...a better solution is going with the RalliArt HD lightweight clutch..
