Nothing wrong with any of those choices, but I would lean towards this if your car is going to see any street time.

Buschur quoted my friend over $30K for his one grand build and AMS quoted him from 75K - 100K...

AMS is outrageous. its just better to do it on your own and get some help from ppl that know what there doing and it will come out a lot cheaper. and it wont get publize a lot and you basically going to have a MONSTER sleeper. when your done. like im trying to do.

Those are all 3 really good choices. There's not one that is clearly better.

But if anybody thinks the typical amateur can build a GT42R with 800-1000hp with some help from some local talent, they're nuts.

Sure it can be done, but you're gonna spend a LOT of money to get that kind of power for a dyno / drag queen, so if you don't want to do a buch of stuff 2 or 3 times, I'd say to get at least a little "hands-on" help from at least one shop who's been there before.

Just do the work yourself. I'm sure it will not take 30k to put down over 1000whp if you do the labor yourself. Buy all the parts, bolt them on yourself, and then when your ready, take it to AMS or Buschur to get it dyno tuned. You probably will end up spending only 15k instead of 30k if you go this route.
