how can you tell if its an MR transmission or a regular one?
i have a transmission that came from a 2006 with the mivec motor so im trying to put it up for sale but do not know if its the 6 speed or the 5 speed. it has the tag on it and also has a stamp that says 3A2 #1 please help me figure this out... thanks a bunch
You have a transmission and don't know what it is? How in the world did that happen? There's no way to find out of the Evo was an MR or not?
Anyway, if it has cooling fins on it, then it's a 6spd.

^lol this guy................... clayton(bigsby) lol knows a lot! im just wondering how in the hell did you get a evo tranny and not know what you got? was it free? and do you even own an evo? or just the bug??
sorry guys... yes it does have cooling fins on the bottom, my brother works at an autowrecker and this engine and trans came from an evo that was hit in the back and was just destroyed and by the time it came to the shop it was completely stripped and gutted except for the engine and trans but a bunch of stuff was missing also, intake manifold and prety much every sensor on the whole thing... great so it is a 6 speed since it has the cooling fins? y just sold my 2003 nsx and have owned other cars such as 05 m3, 05 sti, 2 s2000's and will probably buy a 06 Mr some time this year. but for now yeah just the bug and the company vehicle
thanks i put it on ebay... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=230151364687

The 6spd isn't anything special...nor the tcase and it is used...I would say about $500 for each thats how much I paid. Anything else usuable off the car?
