Mod advise

I've kinda got the mod bug again, just seem to be craving more power ... Looking for a little bit of advise. Only issues are A) At this point just about any productive mod that I could do is going to require tuning (ex. cams, intake, alky...) or be something a trusted shop should be doing (correct me if Im wrong) I wish I was closer to buschur or something where I can get on there dyno easilly or have them do installs but unfortunately Im not near to any such places... Also I dont want to badly over power the stock clutch and destroy that Anyone want to try to provide me some mod ideas? Im open to just about any helpful advise, thanks in advance.

new clutch... lol

stock clutches suck... you should upgrade that first and then go with some cams a walbro.. boost controller of some type.. and get it tuned.. on a dyno jet you'll get over 300 to the wheels.. shouldnt be too hard on the clutch

You could get a wide band O2 sensor - always a good investment,
Manual boost controller,
Nisei UICP,
Wheels,
Tires,
Suspension,
ported/coated exhaust manifold,
02 housing, etc . .

Just a few ideas. . . Good luck!

You might try porting the manifold and O2 housing...can be done through the mail by BR and a few others. I just put the Nisei UICP and found better throttle repsonse--dyno coming to see what power I gained. You could try a different CAI...even though you have the drop-in, you might see gains you like. Also, perhaps a bit on the low side for power but an ignition amp.

Im intersted to see what kind of gains might be noticed ith the UICP... If there are some MBC,UICP and mini battery may be what I do just because they're pretty simple insdtalls that I can do myself, and they dont require any additional tuning. Anybody have any before and after dyno #s showing any gains?

Prior to the UICP= 306 at the wheels. I'll see if I can get one pull before the cams and O2 go in and let you know.

I couldn't get a pull beforehand--the install required too much time to complete. In any event, what the dyno would have said about HP increases is only one perspective...on the road, the trottle response was much better--it's worth the time and money to have a pipe that reaches the intercooler more directly. Good luck...
