New front 02 sensor shows 0.00 volts??? HELP

Ok guys, as the title states my original 02 quit on me. I replaced it with the bosch (#15730) and its not wroking. I have my laptop hooked up with scan tech and its showing 0.00 volts in bank 1. Bank 2(under the car in the cat) is running fine. I have a friend (who is a cert. honda tech) come take a look at it. He probed my 02 conector (under the valve cover) My heater wires show 13 volts. ( thats good) My ground wire is just that a ground. (thats good too) My signal wire (blue) shows nothing!?!? This is were we are lost How do I fix this? Where do I turn next? Troubleshooting ideas?? I had 1 used 02 I tried at 1st and it didnt work. (hoping for a quick fix) So I bought a turbo eclipse 02 of ebay ($11 shipped) I couldnt say no, That also didnt fix the problem. So I just bought the one made for my car (precat) Still nothing!! As you know my car is running pig rich and I have not driven it in about 4 days now. This ever happen to anyone else?? I need answers fast!!

Would a bad rear 02 throw off my front 02 and have it add fuel when I dont need it making my car run rich? After I sprayed alky for the first time I smelled "sulfur" (chemical) smell from the car.. Then it ran rich and has since.. Even after I turned down my alky to non existant. Is my HFC semi clogged and my rear 02 so contaminated that its working... just not correctly?

a bad rear o2 will not throw off your front one rather the ecu will go into its limp mode because it doesnt see that sensor (explains why your runing rich) thats how manufacturers program them and if this is your thrid o2 sensor mabey you have a wiring issue?

Thats the thing.. I know its wired right.. The diagr. that came with it and I searched and found another member that wired his and works.. Plus we used a multimeter to test it. I think tomorrow ill throw in my extra 02 in and wire it up in the rear.. Would a semi clogged cat screw them up?

^^^ It is seeing the rear sensor.. (laptop shows the voltage back there) and all my CEL are relating to the front one. Can the rear sensor be on the frits and mess with everything else?

find out which pin at the computer is the O2 signal. Then get a DVOM (a nice one, like a FLUKE or somthing equivalent) and use it to send a signal from one end of the wire to the other. If you have continuity in the wire, you will hear a beep. Or, if you can't get one, check the resistance in the wire. If you tag the computer end and the O2 end, you should get a little bit of resistance. If you get a "OL" (over limit) or something of that sort, then you know the wire is broken.

Worse case, if you find out that the wire is good, and you have continuity, then your computer is probably shorted, and you're probably going to need a new one.

Try to remember what you did with the O2 that could have shorted out the computer.

One last word of advice. DO NOT cut, splice, or use non OEM O2 sensors. Old O2 sensors use to sample oxygen from the back end of it to compare with the oxygen in the exhaust stream. All new O2 sensors now actually compare the exhaust stream oxygen with the oxygen in the wires.

Good Luck

Thanks.. Ill look into that..

So the brand new OEM replacement bosch (but not actual OEM) could be the issue too?
