Exhaust tooo loud.. need advise.

I have BR Race exhaust on my car with test pipe.. Its a beautiful exhaust but WOW is it loud. It is actually making me not want to drive my car. I can not hear the stereo or the phone. Yes it is installed correctly without leaks.. Its just LOUD!

So my question is... I want to keep the flow I have because I have been tuned by Vishnu.. What is a high quality replacement that is a 3" straight through that is not nearly as loud? What are some of the most quiet 3" turbo backs out there?

Thanks in advance to those that provide useful info..

Craig

+1 on Greddy Evo 2 it's definately not a quiet exhaust with no cat but it is the quietest 3" i've heard. Quiet on low rpm and loud up top. Very driveable on the highway.

Talk to RRE, they have a 3" that is very quiet. Also, running a HFC will quiet thing down.

Thanks to all for your reply.. I am able to pass inspection so keeping the flow I have works for me because it makes power.. I have heard a Greddy Evo 2 and it sounded real nice but have not heard on the highway.

Evo Chick.. if you have clips that would be awesome!

Thanks to all for your quick feedback.. BTW I have been out of the loop.. Who is RRE? If I have the full name I can google.

I've had a GReddy Evo 2 on my car for about a year and a half, and I'm pretty happy with it. I would not call my car *quiet* but I know it is quieter than a number of other Evos with exhausts that I have been around. I also just made 440 whp recently, so it obviously isn't too restrictive! and I'm happy with the overall fit and finish of the exhaust. Good luck with your noise issue, let us know how it turns out when you change!

I have the Evo2 which i have for sale.

It is a very tolerable exhaust. Quiet on low throttle and loudish with WOT.

No complaints with it.

Use a resonator instead of a test pipe. It will quite it down nicely.
