new setup coming soon

my freind with an evo and many mods crashed his car for the second time so the insurance company is reposessing it and im taking most of his parts including ported 9 turbo, 10.5 hotside, ported & polished stock exhaust manifold, ebay 02 housing, 680 injectors, aps bov, flashed ecu, tein flex coilovers, work emotion wheels w/ stock advans, evo 7 tails
i already have tbe, intake, fmic, ebc, wideband, fuel pump, ic piping
can i use his ecu in my car even though that he had cams and im not getting them for at least 4 months

1)will my car still need to be tuned or can i just use his ecu?
2)do you guys think that it would be worth it to buy his coilovers?
3)he also has cam gears, if im getting cams would it be worth it to also get cam gears?

1. Yes your car will still need to be tuned. Your car wont run on his ECU because each ECU has a unique (or close enough) immobilizer code. You could put your immobilizer code on his ECU or flash your ECU with his tune (keeping your immobilizer code). Either way if the tune came off a different car it's now just a basemap because it wont fit your car exactly because every engine is different.

2. if you want the coil overs he has and they are setup then probably worth swapping since you can just put your entire strut packs in their place on his car..

3. Probably not worth swapping cam gears unless he doesnt have covers and you really want them. Since your gonna have stock cams what's the point.
