I love these threads.. It only goes to show what can be accomplished with the right combination of parts and driving.

From the beginning I always thought this was possible on pump gas, but it takes attention to detail and a good driver..

This is along the lines of what my goal has been if I hadn't gotten hung up in other "life events"

We realize this, but we are talking about an EVO here with a 2.0L 4-Cylinder engine. I know that big 8.3L Vipers run 10s (and 9s) on pump gas, but the fact that this 2.0L can run 10s on straight pump is an awesome accomplishment.

Congrats again Trent on this awesome accomplishment. But when you think about it I am surprised this isn't more common, all it takes is the right combo of parts, the right tuner, and a good driver to accomplish this feat. I mean I am already a huge EVO/4G63T fan, but everyday I log onto this website, the EVO/4G63T finds another way to make me admire it. I mean it's not just that this feat was accomplished, but I am also amazed at relatively easy such a feat is to accomplish for the 4G63T.

So Trent, I hear you got called out for a street race

I can't wait to witness this. I say the two of you meet up on EMPTY tanks of fuel, fill up at the same gas station, check each others cars out for nitrous and alky kits being hidden somewhere and then go at it.

I can't wait!!! Make sure this happens soon and when I am available to watch/video tape it.
