Dyno Flash Evo goes 9.50 in the 1/4 mile
Had a great pass this morning at Island Dragway in NJ, was a really nice facility and not too crowded but the track prep was not very good.
Big Thanks to ICS Performance, my new tuning home for allowing me to have a lift to work on my Evo during the day time between tunes and also for giving me a Dyno Jet dyno to test my car on. This allows me to spend more time on the Evo and hopefully I can get some better times in the next few weeks with more time to spend on the Evo.
Also thanks to Buschur Racing, Driveshaft Shop, Shep Trans and Ferrea Valves
Here is my new time from today -
9.50 @ 148
Had to lift before the end as the throttle body by pass hose let loose and sent coolant all over my windshield.
This was with a lousey 1.60 60 ' and miserable track prep - I hit 120 mph in the 1.8
The car has more in it - (man this is a mega addictive hobby)

I agree Island was a blast - not crowded at all and very laid back super friendly staff
Only problem is the track prep - it was like driving on wet tarmac - however it was a lot of fun
After my first experience at Island - I can say that it will be the track I am going to from now on with the exception of races

I have been treated very well there but getting there can be a real pain in the neck as the traffic is a nightmare on the weekend
Also - on Wed nights its so crowded with hundreds of cars it can be a long day to get in 2 or 3 passes
E'town is very good
I like Island now as its kind of out of the way - quiet - low key and no one bothers you. Kind of like a chance for me to have a day of fun with my car.

For some strange reason when I host these on Photo Bucket the sound always gets put slower or faster than the video part
In any event the water hitting the windshield is when my throtle body by pass hose decided to pop like a zit and that happend right after the 1,000 ft mark - I acutally lifted significantly before the end of the 1/4 mile
But for that no doubt it would have been a 9.4 something in the 150 range
Also - as you can see in the video 1st gear was bouding off the rev limiter and spinning for some time due to the traction and track prep issues
I am really happy as it seems that a 9.2 or 9.3 can be done with a good pass
The car still weighs 3200 even with me driving
Thus my dyno reading of 955 from this week is fairly accurate
