HKS type S or type R?

Guys im thinking to change the intercooler due to a small crash....so... what should i get? I allready have the HKS piping kit (lots of money) and i just want to put a bolt on.
Type S has 65 mm thickness... Type R has 97mm.
I have the IX turbo and im not planing to change it soon.
Im going thowards Type S ... im thinking i wont have lag, will be perfect with the piping kit and ok with hot weather.
So what do you think?

You'll be surprised what the Type S can do... I have put 750 WHP through it and it was still fine...it has an excellent core...

For your setup... Will go with the S anytime...

The R is more for higher horsepower setup... I should have gone with an R but it wouldn't h ave fitted in my Evo 6 front...

the bigger the intercooleris, the more pressure drop. you're on stock turbo. get a type-S. I highly suggest you do some research cause there's plenty of good IC out there for way better price. unless you're into the bling bling factor.

What fuel quality do they have in Romania these days? Keen to know the Ron+Mon/2 rating given the sensitivity of these cars.

Have a house there but have not been to see it since 1987! LOL
