Hard to tell till somebody who has an aftermarket clutch goes in to a dealership for a driveline item failure. Then it may come to court action to decide the issue, not some WAG call by a dealership service manager.

I know for a fact that from the factory the stock clutch has no warranty, if this is true (got that from the sales man that sold me the car), then I doubt it would adversly effect your warranty, but it doesn't mean the dealer won't give you **** for it. Hell, I know places that say you void your entire warranty if you put a simple alarm in your car. I work for a stereo comapny and that's absurd but dealers try and pull that kind of crap ALL the time.

Yeah that is a tough call. You will probably have to wait till it fails to find out. If it looks like it has been abused they probably will not cover it under warranty at which point you could ask them to install a part of your choice since It probably wouldn't cost any more at that point. And If it fails early on without any sign of abuse you may be able to talk the dealer into doing the labor under warranty.

But, if you were to come back after having the aftermarket clutch with a twisted drive shaft or a fragged axle or a broken motor mount they might have an out if they wanted one.
