tc and tranny removal what do i need

As the title kind of says an d a group of friends are going to try and remove my TC and my Tranny to send of for a rebuild. This is probably be the hardest thing I've done. I had the clutch replaced by a shop however that shop is no longer around I've done quite a bit of reading in the how too part of the forum and i'm pretty confidant. However I am do not know 100% on a couple random things.

I will be removing my tranny and TC and sending them to Shep (at least im pretty sure about the shep part) anyways I know i will have to remove my Clutch (Exedy Twin Disk)

But my questions are what are the extra cost i am not thinking about:
Fluid both transfer case and tranny
Throw out bearing

Will i need a Clutch Alignment tool?
I have been told I need to look into a new clutch fork and pivot ball Do you think i would actually need new ones? (car will have around 50,000 miles)
Is there anything else I'm missing? Thanks

Any tips or hints would be awesome as well for both the twin disk remove to the tranny and TC removal thanks!

Are you going to replace your clutch? Didn't the Exedy come with an alignment tool?

Try this for a guide to walk you through it. I use it for mine. Only thing is I ran into the same problem they did with removing the tc, I couldn't get it to clear so we put it off to the side as much as possible and welded a coat hanger to hold it up.

Make sure you have a slide hammer, bottle jack (for the motor hence it will be on one mount after the tc is removed) and at least 1 other jack to catch the awkwerd trans. Engine hoist may be a good idea as well to make things easier.

you dont need an allignment tool if you aren't removin the flywheel....all you will need is lots of time...use the evomoto post someone put earlier, go step by step, it works like a charm....I however did not use the slidehammer, intead i bought the proper sidezed screws(evomoto tells you waht size) and i threaded it in there, and put a flat head screwdriver against the screw and hit with a hammer, have to use a little force and a little follow threw and it worked like a charm...oh and did i mention, it takes time..

the clutch has nothing with removing the transmission. you leave the clutch alone. who told you that you will need to remove it?

and you will need an alignment tool only if you take apart the clutch, ie, loosen the pressure plate bolts. in any case, if you do decide to do that, i have an alignment tool and a brand new throw out bearing for $40 shipped.

no pivot ball.

after breaking my throw out bearing once, i replace the TOB every time i take the tranny down. but again, not necessary.

i would suggest replacing the TOB if it is older than 20k.

It may not be necessary, but since you're pulling all of the parts off anyway, you might consider replacing the clutch. I just swapped transmissions in my Mazda hillclimb car, and I took the cheap route since the clutch only had ~5000 miles on it (though they were hard miles). Two days after its all back together the clutch started slipping...d'oh!
