Hi

What is the best triple plate clutch to use for both drag racing and curcuit racing?

Thanks

i have an exedy tripple HD. i don't know how it compares to tilton, but for me it's been an excellent clutch.

Tilton is the best but its also the most expensive. Get the Carbonetic Triple Plate Carbon Clutch it like $2000-2200.00 much cheaper than the tilton and it will hold all the power you want. I hear the drivability is pretty good too.

Buschur and AMS both use the exedy triple disc for their time attack cars. Nuff' said.

+1

I have a friend here in town and his Tilton was nothing but trouble (twice). Stick with what is proven to work.

IMO Carbonetic triple FTW. I was told it should hold up to 800ft/lbs of torque.

I would recommend our carbon/carbon but they are still not released yet. Comparing the Tilton to Exedy or Carbonetics, Tilton carbon/carbon gets my vote hands down. There is a big difference between the Tilton carbon/carbon and the carbon on steel counterfeits. Yes, the Tilton is worth the money... at least for your requirements.

I am very happy with my Exedy triple. I have had 4 different clutches in my car. This one i like the best. The Tilton twin carbon is also a nice clutch, but i think for a daily driver that will last, and for price its hard to beat exedy!
