Hello well i am pretty new to the evo and am looking at getting one in about 3 months. And well after i get used to driving it for a couple months i want make it go faser So im figuring on a mid 11 to low 12 would surfice my needs. So with about $5,000 to $6,000 what would i need to get. I hear that the stock turbo is already into 11's so i dont think i will need to get a new one. Please i need help on configuring a system.

Hi n00b, i'm a newbie also with the same amount to spend and the same question. The only difference is, that I'm in Denver at 5 to 6000 ft so my goal is to get into the high 12's. Stock Evo's here run mid to hi 14's. I'm very interested in the advice you will be getting. Good luck.

5-6 g's will get you a lot
whole greddy or hks turbo kit, or you can play with your stock turbo a little. But in a long run you will need to replace it.

Try AMS's stage kits. You will be able to hit 12.0s with $1700-1800 in mods. If you want mid or low 11s, upgrade your intercooler and fuel system. I would not go AL's direction. His direction was more costly because of more mods as well as nitrous.

FMIC, Fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, bigger injectors, turbo upgrade, HKS cams, 3" turboback exhaust with hi-flow cat, Boost Controller, and emanage with some dyno tuning should very safely do the trick for you.

If you don't know crap about tuning your own car, then you should wait for people like vishnu to make stage 2 and 3 packages.

custom manifold with external wastegate = 1000
20g turbo = 1000 (i think)
intake = 80
fuel system = 900 (injectors, pump, regulator)
exhaust = 500
boost controller = 330
intercooler + piping = 1600
emanage = 750
-or-
standalone = +1500
clutch = 1500 (i think)

lets say 20 psi or 22 psi on pump gas should yield +400 @ wheels and 11 sec slips?
