front wheels only spinning

i was wondering if anyone on here has ever seen this problem or have heard of it. i dont know if it would be my center diff in the tranny not sending the power to the tcase to the back wheels or if it would be my my t case. i dont think it is my tcase cuz like 2000 miles ago i put a stage 2 shep tcase in it. so any help would greatly be appreciated.

ummm.

are you just losing a bit of traction for a second??
cuz that would be pretty normal if youre launching or something i'd think.

if youre driving a full blown front wheel drive car, i think itd be pretty obvious that that's not right/normal.

is your e brake all the way down... I have heard a rumor that states if the ebrake is up it disengages the center diff.

when i launch i get a lot more front wheel spin than back...

if you pm me i'll send you a link with a vid of me launching and you can see it..

completely normal, i just drop the front tire pressure a bit more than the back to hook up.

Cheers!

i dont think yall are understanding me. i can put it on a lift in mid air and go through all 5 gears and the rear tires will never move. i think it is the center diff in the tranny but i dont know.

well there is your problem... try taking a closer look at the transfer case. I'll bet you find problems in there.

good luck!

are you hearing anything from the center diff? was there something weird about the car that prompted you to put the car on the lift and drive it? ...because a car driven on a lift is very different from a car that's on the ground loaded up. The differentials act very different without load on them. You may be getting all worked up for nothing.

yes i put it on a lift because i was driving my car and i heard a loud grinding sound when i down shifted and then it turned in to a clanking sound. well i put it on the lift and put it in gear and only the front wheels would spin and it wasnt making that clanking sound or anything. i know there is something wrong with it cuz ive had it on a lift before and put it in gear to see if my rims would clear along time ago and all four tires spun. and ive drove it and it doesnt drive like an evo should it drives like a fwd car.

try to get a mechanic to help you with this. it could be anything from your rear diff to t-case
