At 24psi on a gt30 and 93 oct, I hit 423whp. Similar mods. This was on a Dynapack, but I can imagine it being a huge difference. Nothing the MIVEC can't make up for anyway.
No, a 20g is a stock-based turbo. A GT30 is a BIG turbo. Also, a Dynapack reads like a Dynojet...sometimes higher. We are talking about Dyno Dynamics.

I think there is still untapped potential in the evo engine. The community just needs more time to really get to know these things in and out. I've seen weird things come from other car forums when regular joe members start doing unorthodox things and get good gains for it. It's only a matter of time.

I beg to differ. These motors in general have been around for a very long time. Places like Buschur, AMS have all been around them for years. There is no secret to how they work. They are old school technology with the only real new technology that has come out has been MIVEC and that isnt something new to the automotive industry.

I'm not saying that I am CURRENTLY making 470 on a DJ, I'm saying that my GOAL of 400whp would be 470 on a DJ

add a 65mm tb and AEM EMS to your list and you will be damn close!you're really gonna have to toss in alky to make it happen though.

i can tell you from a personal experience the following...

uncorrected DD numbers i have 309whp at 22psi spike on 93 octane with a catalytic converter and a very safe high 10s afrs tune... and i have almost every bolt on on the car....

i would assume that changing the afrs to mid 11s, being a bit more aggresive on timing, removing the cat and installing a testpipe and maybe playing with the exhaust cam timing the car MIGHT see 330-340whp on pump... which is FAR from the 400whp on the DD that you want... it cannot be done on the stock turbo...

Thanks for the info.

Also, I'm not referring to stock turbo, I'm referring to Evo Green, which is technically a bolt-on

Even the green isn't going to get you there on 93 pump. I figure the Green is good for 40-60 more whp over a stock Evo 8 turbo depending on your car & mods. On c16 400 would probably be possible. On 100 pump or e85 I think it might come close, but can't say for sure.

Everything I have read about the green suggests that high boost is the key to really unlocking the turbo's potential. That means either high octane gasoline, meth injection or e85 for maximum effect.

I know on 91 pump that 350 is more than likely reachable on a Mustang Dyno.

I can add a few more mods and get some more hp. Right now I'm at 333whp, on a very conservative tune (11.1-10.9 AFRs IIRC).

350 should be 400whp on a DynoJet, but understand this would be with EVERY bolt-on possible combined with an EvoGreen (and it's the law of diminishing returns, which many people don't want to deal with in there horsepower quest).

Cool, that's awesome.

I'm hoping that with 24psi, ported manifolds and turbine housing, an Evo Green, and cams, that I will be able to come close. If I have to meth I will, but 93oct Shell V-Power has allowed me to run 24psi on the stock turbo without an issue
