Hks Ssqv

Hey guys! I'm new to the site. I'm starting to slowly mod my car bit by bit. I found a HKS SSQV with I/C piping for $370 shipped. What do you guys think?? Good price or not?

Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please read up about this. Just use the search button and you will find out that this is bad for your car, unless you recirculate it back into your intake.

Due NOT vent it.

Excellent choice. Be sure to get the K&N Typhoon to go with it so that you get the loudest PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHT possible.

I really hope people stay contructive with this. The SSQV has a really bad rap, and for good reason. I would stay away from it all together. Take it from someone who knows. Instead, go with a recirculating BOV. If you want more noise (like I did) go with either the Turbosmart BOV (it splits 50/50 between blowing off to the atmosphere and recirculating...no stalling issues whatsoever on my Bro's IX) or what I have, which is the GFB Dual-Port BOV (You can adjust exactly how much air is reciruculated or vented to the atmosphere. You can fine tune this one for exactly how loud you want it. Oh, and spend the extra money for the high-pitched cone attachment. It sounds really nice...not rice).

I actually think the HKS is a verey good product and would love to hear something concrete as to why it's so bad. I have used them on many cars including 1000HP supras and they work fine, what's so bad about this BOV?
They can be recirculated also.

I don't want to mention certain other BOVs here that are a problem yet still I see people buying them and they are absolute junk.

Question Bov

I was just about to order the HKS one too and now I'm thinking I need more input. TTP, why did you recommend the one you did?
