I've used a Megan Racing header and it was crap. Buschur Racing did a lot of testing on headers and concluded that the coated & ported stock header will get you 95% of the power gains of the more expensive varieties. For the more expensive stuff, I've heard good things about the Borla header, and myself am using a Full Race header which is amazing quality and works very well.

Save your money and buy a used ex. manifold ,Then get it and a good 02 housing ported and coated.

PPI or Buschur, you pick..
Best Bang for your buck.

My MR header flange warped within 1000 miles, making an exhaust leak against the head (sooted areas). I actually lost power from it instead of gaining any. The Full Race header has stress relief cuts between the runners and a much thicker flange to prevent leaking.

Stock ported and coated or full race!!,the only way to go, i dont know if it worth spending a $1000 for a few extra HP
and i don't think it is even more than 4-6hp.

My PPI swain coated mani will be here in a few weeks and can post back if there was a difference

My cheap *ss no name header made an xtra 15wtq in the meat of the power band. I bought it used, and have had it on my car for a year now. NO ISSUES!!!

Mine did exactly the same thing, and most likely, unless you check the flange with a straight ruler, measurement block, etc.. the flange wasn't warped. I know of three EVO's (Not including mine) that show the exact same symptoms, all of which were remedied by swapping back to the stock metal gasket. The gasket that comes with the manifold are junk.

I'd go with the ported/coated stocker myself. I didn't get mine coated, but I bought a manifold for $100, sent it to Buschur's for the porting for $60. $160 well spent!
