*HKS MIVEC Cams Installed: Dyno Inside*

Alright fellas before you read any further, I had no way of doing a true before and after test. I had to drive 5 hrs to "KevinD" in Irving for both the install and dyno-tune. First off, KevinD is the man! Top-notch service on both the install and tune. He knows what he's doing for sure!

Now for the cam feedback. Idle has a slight lobe to it but didn't require any idle adjustment. Sits nice and easy at 900rpms. The car definitely feels way more stout and seems to carry power throughout the band.

Lastly, the dyno. the conditions were not ideal for high numbers:

Dyno Type: Mustang Dyno (Gotham Racing)
Temp Inside: 121 degrees / 51% Humidity
Gas: 91 Octane (Unfortunately)
Boost: 21 psi

For the mods I have (to include high temps, crap gas, and only 21psi of boost...I'm quite happy with my decision of cams and tuner).

WHP: 291
WTQ: 294

**What is the difference between a Mustang Dyno and Dynojet? 10% or 15%?**
Run#1: Is pre-tuning
Run#5: Is the final with no knock and consistent a/f

Nice number for such a horrible condition.

Also, did you upgrade the valve train or is it stock? Thanks

Stock valvetrain and rev limiter...no need to rev higher than 7600 since your out of the peak power area.

Thats not bad numbers, considering the factors of 121 Degrees and 91 octane. On a dynoject you probably made 335whp 340tq

Can point to which run was your A/F at on the final run?

Nice! Thanks for posting that up. I am really considering getting these cams as well but need to see more people post more of their results as well.

Yay! The mythical beast emerges from its polka-dotted egg and finally we are seeing some real-world numbers! Looks good, great power for crap gas and high temps!

RWHP/RWTQ...my bad...had a Ls1 before the Evo. Yep I'm very happy so far with both the numbers and performance. Yeah you gotta figure 330-340 on a dynojet on 91 Oct and 21psi. That's right online with the other cams out there for the IX.
