Car idle like it got cam, but not sure.

Well got my car a couple of months ago bone stock as far as I can see, even the air filter, but it idle like it got cam ( compare wth another Evo with HKS 272's). to satisfy my curiosity i open up the valve cover and there's no marks on the cam ( like HKS, or else).. look stock ( it's got hole the cam as it is hollow ??, I came from NIssan with solid cams).
so far my mods are. Injen ic piping kit, 3" Mach V motorsport TBE, forge Evo rirc Bov. and Mellon ECU flashed. but it idle like that ven before all the mods.

any body knows maybe why?? I searched for stock cam pics to compare, but no good one found on the forum. any input will be greatly apriciated. C

I am having the same problem with my EVO 8. It has brand new OEM iridium plugs gapped to .27. The idle speed when it is running lopey is about 800 RPM. Both the vaccuum lines on the EGR valve are inplace. It will only start running lopey after you have driven it for about 30min to an hour. If you need a vid i will try and get one.

the plugs should not affect idle that much, there are threevacum lines to the egr one is really tricky to get to....

there are 2 lines on the egr. The facing down is good, and the one facing the right of the car is good also.
