Evo IX walbro inline pump install ???
Evo IX walbro inline pump install ???
Just wondering if anyone has installed an inline pump on their evo. If so where did you mount it and where did you power it from? Did it fit with the stock lines?
I have a intank Buschur HO pump feeding an inline Bosch 044 pump. Gives me enough fueling to run 33psi on my GT35R on 93 pump.
The ext pump in mounted just in front of the fuel tank and feeds back in to the stock lines. There is enough room there to tuck it up and out of harms way.
I used this setup as a twin intank solution is not available for an Evo 4.
The only downside is that the Bosch 044 is quite noisey and can be heard outside of the car quite easily when at idle, and can also be heard inside the car - small price to pay for performance I say.
I have heard that some people with the same setup have fixed the external pump to the firewall.
With regards to powering it up, my tuner made up a seperate relay that runs the pump directly from the battery.
