Stroker Kit?

Okay, so i was browsing vividracing.com and saw that they have a 2.3L stroker kit for sale on their site. However, i am a little confused on the idea of stroker kits. I guess it is just the "No replacement for displacement" idea, but it still has me confused. Are you still able to run a turbo with a stoker kit, or is this if you for some reason (and i dont know why) wanted to go all motor on the evo? Does it effect reliability or anything like that? Are obvious torque gains seen? I know these are dumb questions, but I have heard the term used in the eclipse world for a long time and frankly no one really could give me a clear definition of what one was or why it would be needed. I thought if it was really such a huge gain, more people would do this, but no one seems to. So can anyone shine some light into my confused world? Thanks.

The reason more people don't do it is because they are expensive and involve a lot of labor. I am definately going get the JUN 2.2l kit someday...

more displacement means more low end torque.

yes you still use a turbo. but now you can opt for a upgrade in the turbo you use.

the parts in a stroker kit also allow ( if designed for ) you to up the boost. in turn more HP. in which you can go faster

the displacement helps you to get there a little faster
