high boost guys...some plug questions?

I'm running the basic bpr8es plus gapped at 25 with the dli2 and 31-32 psi. My plugs do not seem to last more than a few hundred miles before i start to get hiccups. I am running a bit on the rich side so I feel that may have something to do with it.

My question is how many miles are you getting out of the plugs and at what gap?

Running meth too btw.

Have you tried the BR8ES instead of the BPR? At any rate, I´d try closing the gap down to .022-.023" at those high boost levels. The BR8ES is a half step colder than the BPR8ES and has a recessed tip..

If I were running alky and 30 PSI in my heap, I´d experiment with either the BPR9ES or the BR9ES, either with a really tight gap(.022"). Are you doing a lot of low speed, around town driving? Under those driving conditions these colder plugs tend to load up after a couple hundred miles.

EDIT: You may have to lean out the AFR´s as well.

If you are indeed doing a lot of low speed putting around, then, this is probably what is loading your plugs up and causing them to foul. In that case, as an alternative you could try a BR7ES, which is only a half step hotter than the BPR8ES which you are currently running, and gap it at .022-.023". Try this and it´ll probably cure the plug fouling.

im running 26-27psi with br7es gapped to .23 no breakups runs great. I had the bpr7es .26 and had misfires with less boost. I would switch out the bpr to br 8es in your case. i was going to get the dli but the plug switch and slighly tighter gap worked perfct. good luck!
