Actually when Al tuned my car my boost lag was so bad he was telling me to get a new turbo from you... i was hitting full boost at 5,600 RPM's !! with the 3065 turbo.. the car was undrivable wiht all the compressor surge. Now that Eddie Bello (new AEM tuner at the shop) tunned the car on the road..... (no more dyno tunes for me)... the car hits full boost @4,600 and makes 25 more whp with 1 less psi, actually starts when cold and idles when i come off the race track. I must be at 520whp.

Now your parts are the best.. Your race block and turbo kit are the best out there. Thanks for developing that stuff

Al's tuning is another story but i dont want to get into that.

Nothing against the Shop, Jimmy and I do quite a bit of business together. Just trying to get things cleared up a bit.

happened to be around when the problems occured with your car and actually i was very upset because this is the turbo i was thinking of getting, the BR3065...

glad to see that the Shop and Eddie managed to cure all the issues and actually i was surprised to hear your car idle smoothly on a built block, cams, bog turbo and AEM...

Anyway, congrats for your amazing piece of machinery!!!

Thanks!

The car is such a beast.. i've won 3 of my first rookie NASA super touring races overall beating unlimited Porsche race cars. I couldnt be happier.

When you saw my car I was thinking about selling it and buying a Porsche GT3 cup..... not anymore !!

Chaulk one up for the DB awards.

AEM tuners popping up everywhere! hahahahahaha
Dave with all do respect , we do buisness together i buy any and all of my Evo parts from you . Your products and or parts are some of the best if not the best stuff out there . I think i have been a loyal and dedicated customer from day one . Yes when we had the car on the dyno the 1st time , there were logs and maps sent back and forth , you did a amazing job with the tune , the set up now has changed up some now and required that it be re tuned that is all , Thanks again - Jimmy

I recommend The Shop to anyone.

Kyle - I just want to set the record clear on this

While I would love to have taken credit for tuning your car the bottom line is that I could not fit inside your tight cage without laying upside down and in the back seat. Becuase, I was not getting anywhere and could not "feel" anything that was going on from the uncomfortable position in the back seat, I called David Buschur and asked him to do the tune for me. He has a lot more AEM experience than I and he is able to do it faster and simplify the process for me.

David Buschur was the one who did ALL the work on the final tune in your car and he did it by email - reviewing data logs and making adjustments and the car was running very well after he tuned it - as demonstarted by the various videos you posted.

I frankly was amazed with the job he did by email and how well the car ran. As usual he is the best at AEM in my book.

I am pleased to hear that you changed the cams or what ever and the car is running better and you are happy, but I ask you to remember that David Buschur was the one who took time on a weekend to put the map in the car and make sure your car was ready to race which is did.

I also remind you that I was the one who donated my spare race short block so that you could make a race. Glad to hear its still running.

Thanks

Al

I totally agree... if you could physically get in the car that would have helped.

At some points I was very frustrated when I was being told to throw new $3,000 parts at it to try and fix it when we find now that the turbo is perfectly fine.

One thing I must say is that the custom Buschur 272 cam is a "drag race cam" and was part of the problem. When we changed to the GSC S1 cam it brought the lag from 5,600RPM to 5,200RPM 400RPM qucker spool with more torque. The other 600RPM's was due to tuning. I'm not trying to start problems or point fingers, I was ticked off when i felt someone was questioning Eddie Bello's tuning abilities.

This doesnt need to turn into a pissing match... just helping to set the record straight.

Very often building a optimal race car requires a bit of testing and trial and error. As in my car I have been through about 4 sets of cams and 9 different turbos.

Both cam shafts and turbo size muct be matched to the RPM power band that the car is running in and sometimes it takes a bit of experimentation to find the perfect balance. While you may have found a workable solution with smaller cams it remains my opinion that a tubular manifold and a different turbo would be a better match for the kind of racing you are doing. As long as you are happy that is all that counts.

As for the tune, I am not trying to question anyone's tuning ability - BUT I am reminding you that David Buschur was the one who tuned your car - did so on no notice dropping what else he was doing and doing so at no charge. When you have someone else come along and trim the fuel maps and make some tuning adjustments it seems easy to forget the help you had in the past. I am sure that who ever was touched your car did not simply delete and erase that wonderful map created by Mr. Buschur but rather they adjust it to match the new set up.

I recall how amazing the tune by Mr. Buschur ran both on the road, dyno and track. I was very impressed as always by his master skill. And the results you obtained on the track were consistant with my observations on the dyno.

Finally, since I did not tune your car I dont think its fair for your to make a comment about "not getting into my tuning skills" - particularly after I helped you out with my spare race motor and still have not recieved all the parts back for the core that I need to replace the motor I gave you.

Thanks and best of luck with the race car

Al

Electricevo: Those are some really nice #'s you have there, glad to see the new tuner at The Shop is satisfying customers.

JuniorAWD: You are doing a great job, keep it up.

Kyle: ::sigh::... where do I begin with you. Your car is SWEET! I am amazed at how far it has come in this time. Congradulations on your wins at the track.

Vendors, "tooners", Junior, and shop owners: I understand that you guys are being dragged into this because you're being refered to by others in this thread, but this is not the place for defending yourselves and showing what friends you all really are. This thread, as we all know, "should" only be about Electricevo and his awsome day on the dyno.
