Does A 50 Trim Need A "built" Motor?! (GUYS I'M SORRY FOR ACCIDENTALLY REPEATING THIS

Guys,

Okay, I have been searching for rides here with 50 trims and some of them are built and some of them aren't... I would just like to know the limits (if people have identified it already) of the engine for that turbo. I know it is still quite small and some people are going with 35r's w/ the stock block but are somehow expecting that it will go bye-bye someday soon.

I have seen 400+hp guys running the 50 trims, but just how much are these turbos asking for in terms of internals? Do they really need 'forged' internals to make them work safely? And after a good tune, what else is needed?

And another question, when it comes to breaking in a newly rebuilt engine, how long should I wait to get the thing on the dyno and tune it?

1. Mods should ban you for starting 4 different identical threads

2. NO built motor needed

im going for 500+ on stock block. many people have 500hp on stock block. its all on how you treat the car and how you drive. and most inportantly your tune. 550ish seems to be the max able for the stock block to hold.

Thanks man, I didn't hit 'submit' a bunch of times... just once then it took like a whole minute to load the page... Sorry about that guys.

Anyway, thanks to those who sent their views already. I just really feel like having a 'built' engine will be quite impractical for my daily driven ride...

Plus I don't really go to the tracks... planning to go to some track days this year though, and that's it. I don't even hard launch! So far, the goal should stick to about 400whp...
