Hi, folks. I've been told by a respected vendor that VIII and IX ICs have different endtanks. Is that correct? Thanks!

 

I think they may be the same.Think of all the intercooler kits companies make that work with oem intercooler piping.

 

I thought so, too, until I was told differently by a respected tuner. For all I know, you may be right. Thank you for taking the time to reply!

I'd love to know for sure. Any tuners around with experience with both ICs?

 

I am alomost 100% there the same ic. Visually there identical.

Someone told me that the IX FMIC is coated with something to make it cool better.

 

I don't feel comfortable disclosing the name of the shop, but let's just say that they're a banner advertiser and are treated as "Gods" on this forum.

i thought they were the same too but then again i believe buschur fmic's fit differently for the 8 or 9 ... i think.

 

I thought it was just the licp's.

 

It is just the LICP that is different for fitment purposes
