457 TQ 430 WHP - Maxing out the stock injectors with 93 octane and alcky !

Today we decided to play with our shop ICS Performance Evo IX and see how much power we could make on the stock injectors on pump gas and alchy

www.icsperformance.com

The mods are

TXs fmic
EVO GREEN Turbo
Injen Intake
AEM true boost ebc
Walbro Punp
SMC Alchy kit with 15 nozzel
Miltech custom 3" exhuast
Dyno Flash custom tuning

Since this is a ICS shop car the owner did not care if we grenaded the motor and we were watching knock at all times we decided to dial in 30 psi and see what it could do

The injectors were maxed out 100 % and the a/f was in the low 12 / 1 range which IMHO is way too lean with this car. There was some slight knock.

After, we turned down the boost to 24 psi - with plenty of injectior and made 382 TQ and 391 whp

I had a discussion in the attached video with George the owner of ICS about the risk factor of running the car around on 30 psi on a daily basis in the event he picked up a bad tank of gas it may lead to engine failure and we decided to lower the boost to 24 fore daily use where it is making plenty of power

We are going to install 680 injectors and a Aquamist HFS-5 kit in order to supply more injector head room and a lot more alchy and see if we can reach 450 whp with the stock cams

Thereafter, we will try the cosworth cams and a dumping 02 housing and see what that does

Here is the video of the activity on the dyno :

Here is the dyno sheet showing the 29- 30 psi pulls (2) and one (1) pull at 24 psi

Its a standard Dyno Jet 424 X - a stock Evo IX would make about 240 - 260 depending on the indivdual car and the fuel it has

Alky and FP FTW.

I like how you told him he should turn the psi down to 24psi instead of 30psi. I was reading the thread with you and TTP.

I run 23 psi on pump with AMS tune. Think that is too much?

But what has a stock IX done on THIS dyno, not what it WOULD do on a standard model 424 X

I added the green to the list on this thread - I ommitted it as I was trying to type fast between tunes and working on my race car !

I figured it was obvious as the title of the video on UTUBE was EVO GREEN - my mistake !

Thanks

Al

The idea is that all dyno jets read the same

as I said above they make between 240 - 260 bone stock (not that many bone stock IXs come here - most are modfiied )

The ICS IX made 234 WHP when it was dynoed as a base line 100% stock for example on this dyno
