think I have a bad fuel pump need help!!

i installed a walbro 255lph on my evo Ix i think its going out. out of nowhere at any giving time it will whine at idle. i know aftermarket fuel pumps are supposed to whine but it only does it sometimes. ive already used the search feature and could not pin point it any thoughts will be helpful

Don't worry about it. Walbro's are just noisey pumps. Mine whines the exact same way that you've described. When it's hot out, when you're low on fuel, and after a hard drive it will be even more audible. I've had mine for two years now. If your car won't start one morning then you'll know what it is. Until then I wouldn't worry about it.

Its normal. I have the walbro in both evos. Sometimes it whines sometimes its quite

thinks guys its been in my car for about six months so i know if it wasnt installed correctly it would have done worse damage a long time ago thanks for your help it gives me piece of mind

walbro's wine when they won't heat,low fuel,hard driving etc. basicaly anytime it wants it is fine.
