Is similar to the P0300 Random Misfire Code, just only 4th cylinder in your case. I'll say check your spark plug and the gap.

Good Luck

It can be a plug or an injector. The coil shares itself with number 2 cylinder so it would cause a misfire code for that one also. Try the plug first, even if it looks ok you should replace it. If the code comes back, try and swap injectors with the number 3 cylinder and erase the codes once again. If the code comes back and it is for #3 cylinder then you know the injector is the problem. Good luck.

Check your a/f ratio with a wideband. If your a/f is either too rich or too lean you can get these codes

Also - spark plugs are comething I would check

If the plugs are bad - again check your a/f ratio as when its off it can foul your plugs

Best of luck sorting it out

spark plugs are a major issue with this code... had a lot of 2g turbo eclipses and talons have this issue, 4th cyl mis-fire, and 95% of the time, was the plugs......

Probably not a bad coil pack, but maybe the wire isn't seated good or the boot isn't seated good on the plug..

Anyway, change your plugs to start off with.. Its cheap insurance.

Didn't I recommend this already in a different post?

What plugs, and what did you gap them at?

Thats just weird, but I have never gotten a P0300 code on my car so I can only make suggestions..

Ok this may be an old thread but I got the 4th cyl misfire after driving home on the 11th coming home from my tune at Buschur, went right to autozone after I got off the freeway, plugs looked good, got a new set of BPR8ES at .26 same as when I was tuned just hours prior, reset the ecu and car idles very rough...... any ideas?!?!? Sorry for the late post I went out of town right after I got back! any ideas?!?!?

i remember when i was going through these codes daily!!
I can't pinpoint what the problem was but now its gone.
I changed plugs and was still getting both these codes. Then after i got reflashed again by a different tuner, my car is running solid without any codes.

I'm not saying it was the tune or the plugs.... im just not sure.

Good Luck
