Looks so unassuming... well as unassuming as an Evo can be! I'd love to duplicate that set-up.

Dave, if you really want to get rid of that RS I'll trade you cars. Nothing like telling VWjeff that I have a HTA35r in my car.

I can't believe I missed this thread with a topic like that

It is great to hear you are enjoying the car David Listening to Renee talk about driving it when she got to the shop on Saturday was awesome My favorite part of the car would be driving it down the street at about 3500 RPM in second and matting the gas. I would look in the rearview mirror and see solid black marks for about 15 - 20 feet. That was with 255/40-17 Toyo RA-1's I suppose being able to power drift at will in first or second was fun too With the Exedy and a Bushwacker 5spd, I could see the car running 10's all day long. So how long before you take it to mid-Ohio?

My first post "Hurray"!

I went to Buschur's yesterday to drop my EXO IX to get a Buschur stage 1 to 4, AEM, and SMC alky kit. I currently have a Vishnu stage 1, which was fun but it's time to upgrade!

I saw this post on Thursday and decided to talk to Nick and David about this set-up. Luckily the car was at their shop and David told Nick to give me a ride in the car. Everything David says is true the car is incredible. I have been in only one car that came close to this and it was a 10 second twin turbo Mustang cobra, and to tell you the truth I don't think it pulled as hard as this car.

Needless to say I am now going with this same set-up on my IX. I am picking it up on Thursday and will post my results next Saturday after I have sometime to play a little!

Thanks to Nick and David for taking time with me, and making me feel welcome! Can't wait to see the results of my IX!!!

It's lighter, and allows that big UICP to pass where half of the battery used to be.

hb1ball,
It was nice meeting you and I knew that ride would sell you The car is freaking great.

The mini-battery was originally done by use to allow a real intercooler pipe to be routed through the engine bay. It also take 20 pounds off the nose of the car.

Bump for an old but awesome post.

Sorry for the necro, but this post made me lose my lust for big turbos and take my car to where it is today. Thanks for the awesome post dave!

Dang you guys are digging up some old stuff! I had to read the thread to remember what it was about.

This car was a blast when I had it, that was in 2007 though. Project White, just last year, was quite elevated above this car in power, handling, ride quality and drivability. It's actually kind of funny to think what just 2 years did in the difference between the two cars.
