need help with codes

so i was going to put cams in my car today, and none of the six valve springs compressors would work with our valves, so i was like **** tim eot put the car back together, now i have p0335 crank shaft postion sensor p0340 cam shaft postion sensor, no thte question is does the cam sensor only go in one way, like do you have to "time" it. cause i think the 2 codes together are saying that cam timing doesnt match crank timing, but car runs fine, and i check timing like 500 times its all in time.
