Help with strange problem.

I am having a strange problem. I was driving and I hit a bit of rough road which jarred my car a bit and then I lost all power. The car really wouldn't accelerate and running really rich , backfiring. I immediately though an intercooler hose came loose. I pulled over and shut it off. I came back later expecting to fix a intercooler hose. I looked and none seemed loose. I started the car and it started right up fine. It was idling completely normal, I could rev the car fine all the way to redline. I put it gear, but as soon as I try to accerate it bogs down and goes really rich, backfires and won't really go. I push in the clutch and rev and it sounds fine again. I drove it and i managed to get into 2nd and all seemed fine at low speeds, until I came top a stop. I started to accelerate again and back to the super rich condition, backfiring, just putting along. If it was an intercooler hose it should run like that even when idling I thought. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Definitely seems like a boost leak of some kind... I would do a boost leak test anyway just to see.

I would need to be able to sputter along faster than 2-3 MPH for it to be a boost issue. Builds boost fine reving in neutral.

I have had that happen and it was a blown off intercooler pipe.

It was sitting on the pipe still, so it would only leak under pressure.

I really hope thats it. It certainly acts like thats whats wrong except for the perfectly fine idle. Hopefully in the light it will make more sense.
