normal boost?

I just got my ecu back from ttp reflashed for 23 psi running on 93 ocatane on my evo IX. Right now I get 23psi in my 3rd and 4th starting from 2300rpm. However I only hit 20-21psi @ wot from 1st - 3rd gear. Is this normal for wot? Another thing is if I test for boost in 6th gear I would hit up to 25psi?!!? Is that normal? So if I am hitting 25psi in 6th am I safe? or should I lower my psi so I won't hit 25 in 6th. But I guess if I lower the psi on 6th gear, I won't hit 23psi in 3rd or 4th anymore. So what should I do?

My mods are: walbro fp, dcsports downpipe+cat delete, greddy ti-c, ARC induction box, Hallman mbc.

It wont always hit the exact same boost in every gear, if it pulls good and feels smooth then it's fine.

This is normal. I know in my Supra 1-3rd gear will only boost around 7 psi (LOL stock boost okay?!) but in 4-5th it is around 8-9psi. Im not very familiar with Evo's however if you believe your car can handle 25 psi then your good to go.

There is more load in higher gears, so you see more boost and less taper. The opposite is true for lower gears. I wouldn't be doing any low rpm, full load pulls in 6th gear if you're spiking to 25psi.

I just put a boost gauge and a turboxs boost controller on my Evo and it will spike to 23 psi and then I guess when Mivec kicks in it drops down to like 15-16.

Leave it because 23 psi is a good number. It is also a safe number.

youre doing good, TTP knows what he's doing i am a local in CFL where he resides and most people are tunned by him he does most of the work for evos down here, therefore trust him he does this for a living.

al thou i had the same questions when i installed my boost gauge, in noticed higher boost holding in the upper gears and lower boost in 1st 2nd and 3rd its because the engine hasnt reached the load capacity to spin tha turbo,
looks good man

You have expert tuners in your area, but you sent your email to Florida for a mail-in tune? Scott can tune just fine, but it's best to have an expert tuner take care of your car in person and verify that your high boost levels in 6th gear are not harmful - someone like Sean Ivey.

^^I agree but price is 200 compare to 450 custome tune. I'll get a custome once I save up enough for cams and the custome tune.

You don't have to get a custom tune either. You can get an eflash for $50 without any shipping costs or downtime.
