Some Intercooler-Questions

Hi guys.

I plan to use a FMIC with LICP and UICP.
Which one is better for airflow and temperature?
The APS or the Perrin?
I like both of them. The Perrin is cheaper but the APS looks like better quality.

I want to use the SAMCO Intercooler-Pipe-Kit.

Had/Have someone one of these intercoolers or this piping kit?
How much does this intercoolers cool down the air (compare with stock)?
What can I expect in spooling and torque?

Thank you guys.

you won't be able to use the samco's if you go with aftermarket pipes. why not just get a ETS fmic and pipe kit, probably cheaper then either one you mentioned, fit is perfect and has proven results. if you plan on keeping the factory airbox just get a lower pipe and keep your stock upic.

Ok, then please tell me, wich LICP and UCIP-Kit is usable with the perrin or APS-Intercooler.

I like the APS and the perrin because the results to use these IC are great. You see that in many evolutionm-threads.

And I want to use the factory-crash-beam.

any factory intercooler fitting piping kit........

ets, ams, buschur, neisi all would work.

Most good aftermarket pipe kits are short routed which will yield the best results but will require a mini battery or battery relocation.

Why would you want samco? if your doing a nice intercooler do a nice charge pipe setup with aluminum or steel pipes, good silicone couplers and T-bolts.

Nisei and AMS both make aluminum pipe kits but require the mini-battery or relocation. The cheaper alternative is powdercoated mild-steel which is what ETS sells.

I dont know anything about those intercoolers....but I could think of better alternatives that are proven like AMS, Buschur, Nisei, etc. But thats just my .02 cents...

I would also suggest if you do get an intercooler get one that has the piping kit made by the same company so everything works together and fits like a glove.
