God%@*& p0300 - need vehicle specific advice
well did nothing for me. no only that but i have a good feeling that its not cureing the code, but rather masking it. its constantly looking for codes when its pluged in and u are driving around with it. so when the code trips, the Creader clears it with in 30 seconds. but here is the thing, that code will keep coming back because the car will not pass the readyness tests. so there for its just masking the code.
Unless they've changed it, this handy little device resolves that problem forever. It's called the "CReader" OBDII scanner, and there are always several listed on Ebay:

Just plug the unit right onto your OBDII port, and leave it there. You'll never get the nasty code or misfire again. Just keep in mind that if something else goes wrong, you won't get a check engine light or code, so you'll have to remove it to diagnose another issue.

Idle timing won't help those that see it triggered on the freeway.
As for the question above, I would think that emissions testing requires scanning the OBDII port, in which case the Creader would need to be removed.

Plus I'm sure the creader would reset the readiness codes once in awhile to take away any cels that have occured. It would suck to pull up for an annual inspection and fail for having bad readiness codes.
I put a clutch in my 03' and then started getting the code for misfire. Now my car runs like **** and I'm getting a loud like valve noise from the intake side of the engine. has anyone experienced this or had injector go bad on them. What's an injector going out sound like. And has anyone had head problems. andd what are they.

i got my creader from harbor freight as well and i am having the same issue as deadbeatrec. it just says "LAUNCH, - - - -, E" it just keeps saying the same thing. its not reading any codes. My SES light is still on and will not clear. and my car stutters like every 5 seconds. its really bad. but im wondering if the ones harbor freight carries are defective.
The C-reader is a known fix for issues where the code is caused by false misfire detection (tranny vibration, etc). If you are actually experiencing misfires because of rich / lean condition or an improperly timed engine then you should find a tuner who knows what they are doing.
