BR35r impressions.

Just finished up install on the 35R Buschur has for sale and thought I would post up my impressions as it is way different then I thought it would be, and thats not bad.

First of all install was pretty easy but remember 3 things; Take your time and make sure everything is in the right place before tightening. Also make double triple and even quadruple sure that EVERYTHING is tight (honest, I meant for all that oil to come out) and last, if you have any problems or questions EvoM is a great resource. On that note a big thanks to the guys at Buschur, vwjeff, and OtownEvo for helping me out.

Driving impressions are alot better then expected. Actually runs smoother and idles better then the stock turbo. Lag is there but not as bad as I thought except 5th gear which is a no-go gear now. Its amazing how much harder it pulls even at 25psi. Here are my track results from last night.

Overall I am very impressed and wouldn't trade back for anything. And thats from a guy running 11.3's at 120mph with the stocker. I'll try and get some pics up here soon.

Yeah, I was suprised at the difference. Car feels so much smoother. Not the instant, barely hit the pedal take off attitude the stocker had. More linear, but once you hit 4k you better be serious about going fast. Also sounds alot deaper, almost a boxer motor sound to it but that would vary depending on your supporting mods I would think. Once the boost hits you have to shift so fast its not funny though in the first couple gears.

Im going to tune it on pump and alky. Planning on around 30psi max as I still have all stock internals.

This is the cast mani kit, the one on sale for $2700. There isnt a dyno anywhere near here so its all tuned at the track and on the road.

I told you this turbo hauls a**. You are right about the power and how it comes on. I am glad you got it on and everything is work as it should, buy the looks of those times, your doing good.

When you get the 880's hit me up and I will set you up with the scaling sh*t you need.

This might sound corny but, when I have c-16 in mine and I am accelerating in the lower gears. The car makes me think of my R1.

I couldnt imagine a head, block and ems with a bigger turbo.... I would f-ing poop myself

Gotta give it up Buschur Racing for making, underwear wetting, tire smoking AWD race cars
