Idle and Earth Ground Kit..

I wanted to share that my idle issues are now GONE... I finally installed the Grounding kit and it runs MUCH smother... I wish I had done this modification a long time ago... I guess I really was not sure it would do anything for me...

I really thought the Greddy type S BOV was my issue, even thought it is not VTA... I did not adjust my BOV... The only thing I did was to install the earth ground kit... Now with A/C the idle is rock solid and the car is much smoother… I almost can’t believe it made this much difference…

I highly recommend this mod! I used the Lineage Kit in addition to a few additional custom cables that I made for my homemade version that I never could find time to finish…. I now know why Mitsubishi offers an Earth ground kit as an option…. BUT…. It should be standard on our cars if it makes this much of a difference…

I need those bad , I have the same idle problem... and a recirculating hks ssbov....
I thought it was the bov, so I made it recirulate, it helped a bit, but not enough I guess....

On idle with the air conditioning compressor running the engine acts like it has a great deal of cam (e.g. the steering wheel is really vibrating.) Is this what you are refering to? I though this was a feature

Really...does the grounding kit smooth out the idle? If so I think installing the kit is worth it.

good to hear, I may try MItsu's kit if I can get it for like $100, or get one from Fireball for $85...

There are a few people selling kits on ebay, not sure of the quality. They look to be good for the prices. I may buy for my other cars. Here are 3 different kits for less than $50.

Is there a thread about it somewhere or should I just wait here for the instructions? My car seems to run really weird at times..makes me think its suffering a similar issue. Some days it idles smooth as hell, totally fluid..other days it just feels like its going to die. Weird stuff. May have to try a wire kit first..I thought maybe I was just buying different gas that the car didnt like..

Weird how our cars are kinda picky. When I went on a road trip a few weeks ago, I dropped a few thousand feet in elevation..when I got back here my car seemed like such a dog! I've owned hondas before the evo..and knew what it took to get the ecu to change the maps back..this car seems to be kinda similar..but definately not the same. Its better now..but the random rough idle still kinda bugs me!
