boost issue

I have this boost issue with my car for a very long time and i can't figure it out. Here is my problem, when starting from a stop or roll in 1st gear i can only hit 18-20lbs, and each gear after is the same 18-20lbs. But when i am in and other gear rolling i hit my target boost of 24-26lbs and it holds. I have used 3 differnet boost controllers, first was a greddy profec, second a World TBC-1, which i took out today and installed a Hallman. ( the hallman works the best ) but i still have this issure. I am starting to think its the wastegate. Its a FP adjustable. and its adjusted to 18-20lbs.

I haven't seen good results with the FP Actuator, I'd definitely suspect that first.

Easy way to find out is to run direct to WGA without a boost controller.

Are you setting boost in 5th gear? Do you still have a stock WG lying around, in order to swap and compare?

Will you list your exhaust mods, starting with any hotside porting, O2 hsg, DP, cat delete, and etc? What PSI exactly is your desired target boost level? On just the WG does it hold at 18 PSI in fifth gear?

EDIT: How do you have the Hallman hooked up? Is the bottom port on the MBC routed to the boost reference source(compressor nipple or DV/intake manf. line) and the side port on the MBC routed to the nipple on the WGA?

with no boost crontroller it will run 18lbs in any gear. Target boost is 25psi. All 3 boost controllers were hooked up right. They worked, just not from a stop or roll from 1st.

Exhaust, SS header, Invidia 3" O2 housing, B&B down pipe, my own 3" downpipe back aluminium exhuast.

I have tried a million different things, different size lines, lentghs, different hook ups and still the same thing.

I don't have the stock wg anymore
