If you had a boost leak you wouldnt be able to check it unless it was on a dyno, would prob cost $100 to get it checked out and have a few runs on the dyno with a chart to see whats exactly happening in the graph as it climbs and drops

Ok bro, fact, if you put your hand over the turbo area/intake pipe while the car is on a dyno ( cause in 1st gear sitting still all you have is VACUUM) you can tell there's boost leak by puffs of air shooting out that you FEEL not see.

Second, it'd be wise of you to list ALL your mods cause you might not have the best set up or something insufficient.

You might also be running into fuel cutoff but Idk cause you didn't list your mods. And your a/f might be off as well.

But who knows, I'm just a newb

lol your definitely a newb, hes not running into fuel cutoff because it wouldnt buck it would just lose all power for around 2 seconds before coming back on.

so your way is pointless when u can just use an air compressor and a boost leak tester for $20. this way your engine isnt running and you can hear where the leak is coming from. you can also use soapy water over the pipes if you still have issues, that way u just look for the bubbles forming. paying $100 for a dyno run just to find a boost leak is the most retarded thing i have ever heard. only a newb or idiot would suggest that...

anyways, to the OP, check you synapse DV and try a different setup. there is a thread on the synapse DV and different setups so maybe try in there. ive never seen a car do that so its a shot in the dark, but definitely worth looking at. also, go and clean your MAF and make sure your intake is on air tight.

They responded that way because you gave ridiculously erroneous information. You must be new to the car/turbo scene. The way of using a home made boost leak checker has been around for ages.

OP, if you could, list all of your mods. I'm understanding that you were tuned on the ebcs? and you disconnected it and are just running the wastegate pressure now?

Here are the mods.BF 272s,Supertech springs and retainers.Block is built.FP Black JB Everything else is stock exhaust manifold, intake manifold etc.Car Made 640 560 tq on E85 with an aem ems.Car ran 10.00s numerous times very close to 9s but cigar.I got sick of the aem start up issue and could not find the trigger wheel to make it start up quicker so i decided to go back to stock ecu.I also was getting my ***** busted by local tracks to put a cage in the car and im not putting one in it so ive decided to tone car down to run 11.50 index class.I disconnected ebcs to make sure it wasnt an issue.

I'm guessing you were retuned after the switch to the stock ecu? Are you able to get a log of when the bucking is happening? Are you able to rev through the rpm range if you stay out of boost?
