Boost Problem
Boost Problem
I dont drive it much and last time i drove it started bucking when going into boost.I have grimmspeed ebcs but its disconnected.FP Black FP 25 psi wga,Synapse dv in push mode.In the video below i connected wga to compressor elbow it should be around 18-20psi.
If you had a boost leak you wouldnt be able to check it unless it was on a dyno, would prob cost $100 to get it checked out and have a few runs on the dyno with a chart to see whats exactly happening in the graph as it climbs and drops
What are you saying?Boost leaks are not tested on the dyno. You sound like a complete newb.No boost leaks btw. Trying to build that post count LMAO

Ok bro, fact, if you put your hand over the turbo area/intake pipe while the car is on a dyno ( cause in 1st gear sitting still all you have is VACUUM) you can tell there's boost leak by puffs of air shooting out that you FEEL not see.
Second, it'd be wise of you to list ALL your mods cause you might not have the best set up or something insufficient.
You might also be running into fuel cutoff but Idk cause you didn't list your mods. And your a/f might be off as well.
But who knows, I'm just a newb

lol your definitely a newb, hes not running into fuel cutoff because it wouldnt buck it would just lose all power for around 2 seconds before coming back on.
so your way is pointless when u can just use an air compressor and a boost leak tester for $20. this way your engine isnt running and you can hear where the leak is coming from. you can also use soapy water over the pipes if you still have issues, that way u just look for the bubbles forming. paying $100 for a dyno run just to find a boost leak is the most retarded thing i have ever heard. only a newb or idiot would suggest that...
anyways, to the OP, check you synapse DV and try a different setup. there is a thread on the synapse DV and different setups so maybe try in there. ive never seen a car do that so its a shot in the dark, but definitely worth looking at. also, go and clean your MAF and make sure your intake is on air tight.

I had the same sort of problem, I pulled the plugs and gap was blown out. I put new plugs in and 1.5 steps colder and my issue was fixed. Hope you get it sorted out!!! Please post the fix!!!
I always subscribe to these types of threads! Lots of good info cone from them

already said you only get vacuum in gear sitting still
didnt say you had a BAD setup
i gave you an idea and you respond like an azz cause im new to the forum
Cool story right
OP, if you could, list all of your mods. I'm understanding that you were tuned on the ebcs? and you disconnected it and are just running the wastegate pressure now?
They responded that way because you gave ridiculously erroneous information. You must be new to the car/turbo scene. The way of using a home made boost leak checker has been around for ages.

I'm guessing you were retuned after the switch to the stock ecu? Are you able to get a log of when the bucking is happening? Are you able to rev through the rpm range if you stay out of boost?
Yes was retuned with stock ecu.I was going to log today but its snowing out .I havent been able to log.yes itlll rev though rpm range off boost.
