35R Buschur track results, and spark blow out
Ok I finally made it to the track tonight. Made 3 passes cause all the old muscle cars like to blow up every pass, and National Trails Raceway is owned and operated by a bunch of disorginized rednecks
From now on I will keep it on the private street course's here in town and private track rentals.
First pass was on C16 w/ 25psi... I didnt tighten th BC down enough
Happy... but I knew she had more in here.
60'... 1.810
330... 4.905
1/8... 7.458
mph... 96.04
1000... 9.638
1/4... 11.356
mph...124.59
So I figure cool. I did however bog alittle of the line. I have cut a 1.58 60' once. But that was when I had the stock turbo.
So I go back to the pits, adjust the front tire pressure to 20psi, and leave the rears at 35. I raised the 2step 211rpm, flash the computer and head back out.
2nd time out with 2step at 6900 rpm, and 10psi off the line, it looks like this with 29psi on the gauge to rev limiter set at 78xx rpm
60'... 1.604
330... 4.701
1/8... 7.115
mph... 100.29
1000... 9.212
1/4... 10.91
mph... 127.34
So I head out for a third time thinking I will just no lift shift
This time out the car is misfiring down the track
Now this was about and hour after the last pass so the temps were colder.
I am thinking the spark is blowing out??? Anyone got some input on this, I have stock ignition, plugs are stock heat range and gapped at .024. And I show 0 knock... OK 2 counts at most at around 7100 rpm in 4th gear... but thats OK.
I am thinking I should get the HKS ignition amplifier box. Or just get Buschur COP, but I dunno if it will work the stock ECM
With spark blowing out/misfire or whatever you wanna call it I let out in 4th in fear of damaging something.... 12.177 at 125.30.
Dave, help me out here buddy!
Thank you Team Buschur for suppling kick a** parts, for me and all of us here on EvoM!!!

J/K I proly should change them. I have some new one's but they are 2 heat ranges colder. Maybe Chris at Nolimits will chime in and PM me a price on some new plugs? Thanks for the heads up on the COP, just gonna have to figure that out LOL.

What are your pressures at? I feel that the alingment has ALOT to do with your tires and how well they work for you.
I had the pressure at 22psi all around. I pulled 1.58-1.63's before the 35R but the best I could do the other day was a 1.77. My alignment is pretty good. Just got it done after the coilovers and its more of a drag alignment in that its less then 1 degree negative camber all around.
nice times mate!
love the setup... actually i am between the FP3065 and the 35R... haven't decided yet...
i had some spark blow out when i used racegas the last time at the track. Since i changed my stock IX plugs to the NGK racing ones which are 1-step colder stopped having problems...
what a/r is the BR GT35R kit?

Nice job man! For what it's worth, I was having a similar problem with my car (I'm only running 26 psi) a while back my car was misfiring and blowing out the spark. Took out the plugs (they were practically brand new only had about 800 miles on them) to check the gap, they about what I had always ran before .026 or so but anyhow went ahead and gapped them down to .022. It helped out SOME but didn't completely cure the problem. In hopes of fixing the problem I ordered a SunAuto ignition box, and WOW! That little tiny thing did wonders for my car, it made me wish I had bought it a long time ago lol. Not only did it cure my misfire problem but it also made the idle smoother, part throttle was better, and just all around it made the car more pleasant to drive. I know it's nothing compared to the Buschur COP setup (which I would love to have) but it's a pretty good alternative for less money with my experience.
