this seems to be very common issue,,,, the famous little tinny o-ring,,,, if it doesnt get installed leak problem starts,,, which is very easy to overlook,, this goes between TC and tranny

So your sure its a very simple problem? So just drop the trans and replace the o ring or install it properly?

What color is the fluid that leaks though? mine seems to be transmission fluid i believe and its black

If it isnt the o-ring what else could be causing this problem, could it be that the transfer case cracked?

I have the same situation after clutch install, but I checked the torque on the bolts (supposed to be 51 ft-lbs). Found a stripped bolt and I will need to drill and tap the tranny side. Not in a hurry to do the work yet, but in addition to checking the o-rings, I would recommend using a bead of sealant as well. Needless to say, I'll be doing all the work myself this time and not relying on others to create new problems for me

But could the bolts really cause the fluid leaking??I am about to try to fix this within the next few days..I have to think that It is leaking from around the output shaft of the trans because it is gear oil from the trans only that is leaking..I am REALLY not looking foward to doing this at all but my car has been sitting for almost 3 weeks now..
