Id do that and see if you can go ahead and get the timing belt done and save on labor. Glad to hear it was just the water pump though.

Yea, it's just weird that the water pump went out though. The car is still practically new (in my book). I'll go ahead and get the ARP studs put on the head too just in case.

It might be a good idea to get headstuds, especially if you're running race gas.

Yeap. Going to do that too..

Can they change the studs without changing the head gasket?

They probably can, but a good head gasket is cheap and worth it for the money and piece of mind.

They can by doing them one at a time. Changing the head gasket wil increase the cost. As long as it's done right the 1 at a time method is fine just cheaper IMO

As long as the 1x1 method is done CORRECTLY, you should be fine. RRE did my headstuds that way.

honestly i have seen any or very few people here running high boost (25-28psi) and stock head bolts stretch them. its more of a thing carried over from the older DSM's. what u do hear is "I replaced my headstuds doing the 1 by 1 method and now i have a gasket leak". so if u do decide to do the studs, take the head off the car and do it the right way.
